ATSSC - ANGLING SECTION
A.T.S.S.C. Angling Section

Welcome to the Aberdeen Telephones Social and Sports Club Angling Section Home Page.

The Section was formed 38 years ago and although we have seen a decrease in numbers
we still get a good attendance at the outings and competitions.
Contact Steve Argo for further details.

To get an idea of what we are about why not check out the proposed 2026 Outings. or the 2025 Reports and Results.
Or perhaps even take a look back at the 2024 Reports, Previous Results, Club Records and Photo Gallery.

Also, please feel free to contact any of the existing, long suffering, members who will be only too happy to help.

LATEST INFORMATION

2025 FINAL RESULTS
The Section has now completed its thirty eighth season and the number of fish caught was slightly up on the previous year,

Steve Williams was the Club Champion with 1328 points (41 fish) and a total weight of 104lb 9oz for all outings.
Graeme Third was runner-up with 928 points (28 fish) and 71lb 14oz
followed by Steve Argo 779 points (23 fish) and 70lb 11oz.

Despite a number of larger fish lost, caught and released, it was Sandy Wilson
who recorded the heaviest rainbow weighing in at 4lb 8oz from Rescobie.
Heaviest brown trout estimated at 1lb 12oz fell to Graeme (at Grogarry) and Steve W (at Bornish).
Steve Williams recorded the biggest bag of fish. 11 fish at Lochter.

And, just for Sandy Buchan (in case he reads this) it was, surprisingly, Steve W who won the most sweepers!

For the final results table and details of all 2025 outings, please see the 2025 Reports.

STOP PRESS
Steve Williams is the Club Champion for 2025.

It is proposed that, since we are all retired now, all the outings for 2026 will be fished on a Tuesday.
This will then leave weekends free for any other recreational pursuits. If this is not suitable for all
and causes other problems please let it be known and we can look to agree on another suitable day.

2026 OUTINGS
The first outing for 2026 will be:
Bank fishing for rainbow trout, at
Lochter Fishery, Oldmeldrum, on Tuesday 13th January 2026
Fishing will be from 09.00 to 15.00 and cost approx. 19
for a catch and release ticket.

Contact Steve Argo for further details or suggestions and click
here to see the list of 2026 outings.
