However yet again Steve W had medical issues and unfortunately had to pull out at the last moment. Oh well, there's always next year (althought I'm sure that was said last year!). But back to the fishing for the remaining five anglers:
Monday, Day 1 - Boats on Lower Bornish (2) and Mill. Graeme and Sandy had a couple of fish each on L.Bornish
and Steve had one on Mill. Not a great start for Joe and John though who made the schoolboy error of not ensuring
that their motor was working before starting to fish in windy conditions. I bet you don't make that mistake again! And on to the results. Normal service was resumed with Graeme finishing 'top angler' for the week with 21 fish. Joe was runner-up on 11. Graeme also had the best fish of the week, with his 3lb brown trout from Grogarry. The total catch for the week was 52 fish, slightly down on last years total of 54, but not a bad return for a week of very cold, strong, northerly winds.
A return visit for 2020 has been arranged (13-20 June) so fingers crossed we all make it this time and the fishing and weather mproves. |
